Solar Panel Roof, Rotterdam

Rotterdam is proving city infrastructure can not only function well, and look great, but can also be used to generate power. At the Rotterdam Central Station the roof is covered with approximately 10,000m2 of solar panels, roughly a football field size. The solar panels reflect new ways in which architects are overlapping function, designing important transport nodes and complementing local sustainable initiatives.
