Last week, a public piano was installed in a small park in Vancouver. An initiative of CityStudio Vancouver, the project involved students re-imagining the park and testing the space with a simple activation idea, a popup piano. The students found a piano, just down the road from the park, via the online classifieds, Craigslist, and setup within minutes.
Last year, piano’s were installed throughout Vancouver as part of ’The Keys to the City‘ initiative, and have also been used in Sydney, Los Angeles and Cambridge as part of the ‘Play me, I’m yours‘ installation.
